Tawakkul (trust in Allah) in the Quran isn't presented as a replacement for effort — it's what comes right after it.

What you can do

• Notice the sequence in this verse: consult, decide, then rely on Allah — not skip straight to reliance without doing your part (Surah Al-Imran 3:159).
• Hold onto the promise attached to it: 'whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him' (Surah At-Talaq 65:3) — sufficient, not merely helpful.
• If you've genuinely done your part, the waiting itself can be treated as the tawakkul — not a gap where you failed to do more.
